The 6th tournament of the year and 2nd split
tournament was a bit lame, Prefish was horrible and to say the least the
rest of the tournament was pretty much the same. There were some bright
spots, Father & son team of Bill Bay Sr. and Bill Bay Jr. lead after day 1
with Jr's 3lb 8.0oz smallmouth to post big bass and Sr's 2 fish Sunday gave
them a respectful 3lb margin of victory. Jr's Big Bass came on his first
cast with a Brown & Chartreuse Techno Tube, Sr's 2 fish were caught using
Chompers. 2nd place went to Mike Long and Keith Williams with a 1 fish total
of 3lbs 4.0ozs caught by Mike Long on Sunday. Mike's keeper was caught on a
Pumpkin 7in worm. 3rd Place was Joe Anderson and Mike Morie with a total
weight of 3lbs 0.5ozs, both fish were caught on Sunday morning using
topwater baits (Luckycraft). 4th place went to CURRENT angler of the year
Matt Nagle & Dave Irish, Matt's first day catch held up to take 4th place
and increase his AOY lead on Keith Williams.
